The Foundation
What is Pediatric Massage?
Pediatric massage is gentle, age-appropriate bodywork adapted to the needs of growing bodies.
Children hold tension too—through stress, growth, posture, activity, injury, and the ways their nervous systems respond to the world.
Support for a child's body must always be safe, respectful, and developmentally appropriate.
The goal is comfort, support, and helping the body settle—not doing too much.
The Method
Why this approach works
Children often respond well to gentle support when their bodies are uncomfortable, overstimulated, or holding tension.
Bodywork can help support relaxation, mobility, awareness, and a calmer physical state.
When the work is matched to the child, it can be both safe and meaningful.
The quality of support matters more than the intensity of it.
What's Different
This isn't adult massage scaled down
Children need a different approach, a different level of sensitivity, and a different kind of care.
I'm looking at:
- age-appropriate, gentle bodywork
- adapted to developmental needs and nervous system response
- focused on comfort, regulation, and support
This work respects both the child and the stage they are in.
